For one day at least, it’s important for Toronto Mortgage brokers to set aside their focus on Toronto mortgage rates and involve themselves in any way they can with the upcoming National Housing Day celebrations this Thursday.
The Toronto Real Estate Board will be teaming up with other groups to host the symposium that will be looking at the challenges surrounding and the positive strides being made in affordable housing across the GTA. It’s important for all those that make a living in and around the real estate markets in Toronto to do their part in some way.
Greater Toronto REALTORS® have done their part in 2012 by sponsoring two Habitat for Humanity homes in the Toronto area and they contributed to several construction projects as well.
Toronto Real Estate Board President Ann Hannah recently commented on the importance of the humanitarian work.
“According to recent Habitat for Humanity Toronto studies, the benefits of home ownership include improved financial stability, physical health, personal safety and academic performance, and an April 2012 report released by the National Association of REALTORS® in the United States substantiates these findings, also showing health and educational benefits as well positive effects on factors such as crime, civic participation, and property improvement,” she told the Daily commercial News.
Those are the kind of words that make a Toronto mortgage broker proud to be helping people find the homes they can live full and happy lives in. Remember when you deal with a mortgage broker professional, you’re getting someone on your side that doesn’t work for the big financial institutions and is dedicated to finding you the mortgage terms that best suits your circumstances. As National Housing Day is sure to remind us, a house is also a home for you and your family.
